WORK to improve Bridlington’s cycleways will start along Moor Lane, Carnaby, on Monday.
Expected to take one month, it is being carried out as part of the Bridlington Coastal Cycle Route works.
It will affect the road between the Wilsthorpe roundabout and Lancaster Road.
The council said it has worked with the contractor to try and minimise the impact to motorists, though a spokesman apologised in advance for any traffic disruption caused.
It is intended that traffic will mainly be managed with cones and signs, however there will be periods where traffic signals are necessary in order to maintain safety.
The use of traffic signals will be limited to off peak traffic times only.
Once this work is completed, further works will be carried out on the next section between Limekiln Lane and Sewerby where the land train track will be widened and resurfaced.
All works on both sections are due to be completed and ready for use before the start of the Easter holidays.
