The robberies took place between 2.10pm and 3.20pm on Thursday 17 October.

The suspect has been described as a black man around 5ft 10” tall, with a stocky build, wearing a distinctive hat and aged mid to late 30s.

He entered the stores and chose vodka and champagne from the shelves, and is then alleged to have concealed the items inside his jacket before leaving the stores without paying.

Sgt Steve Brook of Bridlington Police said: “We would welcome the public’s assistance in identifying this man who is suspected of these crimes committed in the Bridlington area.

“He is quite a distinctive character and someone hopefully will be able to identify him.”
