East Riding Council’s adoption team is looking for single people and couples who are willing to consider adoption for children aged four-plus and especially for those with additional needs.
National Adoption Week 2015 takes place from 19 to 25 October with the theme ‘Too old at four?’
Older children waiting to be adopted are often likely to be in sibling groups or to have additional needs, and there is currently a shortage of adoptive parents coming forward for these children.
The council would welcome expressions of interest from all sectors of the community.
The council will hold an information event at a venue near Beverley on Monday (26 October). For more information about adopting visit www.eastriding.gov.uk/adoption or ring 01482 396673.
