The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, which runs the very successful Living Seas Centre at Flamborough, is encouraging people to sign up for the 30 Days Wild challenge.
The scheme endeavours to connect people with natural beauty throughout June.
Anthony Hurd, Living Seas Centre manager, said: “30 Days Wild is a great way to get closer to nature and marvel at the everyday wildlife that lives all around you.
“You can observe the birds in your garden, or sow front-garden meadows along the length of your street. No matter how small the action, it all counts towards doing something wild every day.”
l The first Big Wild Weekend will take place on 16 and 17 June. Visit www.ywt.org.uk to find out information about free events in this area.
