A VETERINARY surgeon has been expelled from the practice in which he was a partner.
Married father of two Nick Jones, 50, of The Groves, is currently seeking legal advice in the wake of the incident.
He said in a statement: “I wish to announce that on September 21, I was expelled from Aldgate Veterinary Practice for reasons which included that I allegedly failed to employ myself diligently in the partnership business.”
He added: “I would like to thank all the loyal clients within the practice for their support over my 26 years working in Driffield and hope that you will not think ill of me for leaving, but it was not of my volition.”
“I would further hope to have the opportunity to help you care for your companions at some time in the future.”
Mr Jones (pictured), who is a small animal specialist, said he had been an equal full equity partner in the practice and spent his time working between the surgeries in Driffield and Bridlington.
He said that he was unable to comment further at this stage as the matter was now in the hands of his legal team.
One of the partners in the Aldgate Veterinary Practice, Keith Dalby, said the matter was confidential but he confirmed that Mr Jones was no longer working at the practice.
