...and it has been confirmed that it won't be open to traffic again until later this week.
The road has been closed, in the area around the level crossing by Bridlington train station, since Friday lunchtime.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Water said: “We have been working on a burst pipe on Quay Road in Bridlington.
"Due to the damage that the burst has done to the carriageway, we have unfortunately had to close the road for health and safety reasons with diversions in place.
"We hope to have the road reopened this Thursday and apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
