A major development scheme at Bridlington Town Hall has been further delayed.
Work to relocate the job centre from Crown Buildings is unlikely to start until next year.
A report to East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s cabinet next week says the town hall scheme has been delayed ‘due to awaiting final legal agreement’ from the DWP.
“The delays have also impacted on the delivery of the scheme, as the council will now be required to re-tender the project,” it adds.
“However any additional costs arising from this, under the terms of the agreement, will be met by the DWP.”
