A woman said she has been overwhelmed by support for her new florist business, something she had dreamt of owning since a child.
Sara Suggitt opened Oops-a-Daisy florist at 35 Quay Road in Bridlington just a few weeks ago and as of this Monday, is a member of Interflora - an international flower delivery service.
She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be able to offer the Interflora service to the town, I have had a large number of customers enquiring and have worked very closely with Interflora to gain membership.
“As a small business and having so recently opened in Bridlington the response from local people and visitors to the town has been wonderful.
“We have a large following on Facebook and we cover a large local area delivering Monday-Saturday.
“In addition to fresh flowers we hold a large stock of high quality silk flowers, vases and baskets.”
Sara added that the dream of opening a florists is one she has held on to since a very young age, and that she is now ecstatic to finally fulfil her ambitions of running her own business.
She said: “It has been a long time dream since I was a little girl and then training as a florist, to opening my own store!”
The new store will offer customers private consultations for weddings and funerals.
Floral arrangements at Oops-a-Daisy range from more traditional and vintage designs, to those with contemporary twist.
