Producers of popular ITV show Britain’s Got Talent are coming to Bridlington to find the nation’s next big star.
The Thames TV team will be in attendance at The Spa Bridlington for the first time on Thursday July 28 to film all the auditions on the night where residents can showcase their talents.
Successful acts will then be in with a chance of securing a place at one of the judges’ auditions in 2017.
Executive Producer, Amelia Brown, said “We’ve had some amazing winners over the last ten series. We can’t wait to see what talent Bridlington has to offer. Anyone can apply - there is no age limit and we are looking for all kinds of talents, so if you feel you have something special to show us then make sure you apply, you never know where it might take you.
“We haven’t held auditions in Bridlington before, so we’re excited to see what wonderful talents the town has to offer. The Spa has a history of housing local talent, and they have been very accommodating.”
The show is open to any performer of any age, with any talent - all you need is a skill and star quality which they think will impress. Anything goes from drag acts to singers and acrobats to animals.
Andrew Aldis, general manager of The Spa Bridlington said: “We’re excited to be included in the early stages of auditions for the next Britain’s Got Talent series. We intend demonstrating the enormous strength of both The Spa Bridlington as a venue and of the town as a source for great talent to tempt them to base some of their televised auditions here too.”
People are welcome from 7.30pm on July 28 and will be auditioned on a first come, first come basis. Auditions are closed meaning spectating will not be available.
Aspiring acts can also apply now via www.itv.com/talent and register for one of the audition days later in the year. You can also apply by sending in a video audition of your act.
This year marked the 10th anniversary of Britain’s Got Talent with soldier and magician Richard Jones being crowned the winner.
