A BRIDLINGTON teenager has had a big smile on her face after achieving success in her first ever beauty pageant.

Jasmine Page, 14, won the Best Smile category and got placed in the Miss Teen Beverley Galaxy contest which was debut appearance at a beauty pageant.

Jasmine, who is currently enrolled at the Barbara Speake Stage School, in London, said she was absolutely thrilled with how well she did in the contest.

And Jasmine told the Free Press that she would love to do another contest as she has so much fun and made some fantastic new friends.

But her pageant plans are currently on hold while she focuses on other up and coming projects including a chance to work with Disney.

And Jasmine, whose main ambition is to become a singer-songwriter, has also recently finished recording with John De Pruz, one of the writer’s behind the Monty Python inspired musical Spamalot. And John was so impressed with Jasmine he has invited her back to his studios to record her own material.

Jasmine’s proud mum Donna added: “This pageant has been a fantastic confidence boost for her, as it would be for any 14-year-old, and we can only thank Lou and the girls for how well run Miss Galaxy was.”
