Some of Britain's best beach volleyball players will be competing on the sands in Bridlington this summer.
The town has been chosen to host the 2018 Confederation of European Volleyball Beach Volleyball Festival in August, which will run alongside another national tour.
A grandstand will be set up on South Cliff Beach, below the park and ride, and there will be an attempt to break the world record for the biggest game of beach volleyball.
Among the players in action at the UK Pro Beach Volleyball Tour will be Jake Sheaf, who is part of England's number one ranked pair and secured a fourth-placed finish at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
As well as watching the professionals on August 11 and 12, there will be a giant inflatable volleyball court for families to have a go at the sport, taster sessions and a bungee run.
Cllr Richard Burton, portfolio holder for leisure, tourism and culture, said: “We are thrilled that we have been chosen as a national location on the UKBT Pro Tour and to be the national host for the CEV Festival is massive boost for the East Riding.”
Adam Toes, sport and active communities officer, added: “Beach volleyball is growing in Bridlington and the support we have received from Active Coast partner Skyball has been invaluable to the development work that we have been able to carry out.
"We would love as many people as possible to join us over the weekend to watch top class beach volleyball and join in our exciting offer of family activities’
