Bridlington man attacked on way to work

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was allegedly attacked while walking to work.

The incident took place on Blenheim Road, Bridlington between 3.35am and 4am on Thursday March 15.

A 46-year-old man was walking alone, on his way to work, when he felt something strike the back of his head.

This is thought to have caused the man to fall to the floor, scraping his head on a wall and briefly losing consciousness.

The man managed to get himself up and walk to work where he discovered his black Nokia L3 mobile phone was missing.

Police and ambulance were called to the mans work place, but he was not taken to hospital for treatment.
