A 38-year-old man was taken seriously ill suffering with seasickness after a morning angling off the coast of Bridlington.

The man from Hull had been sailing in the Yorkshire Lass angling vessel near Sewerby with around 10 companions on Sunday 25 August.

The Humber coastguard received a message to say there was a man seriously ill, and the boat could not get back into harbour as the water was too shallow.

The Bridlington Inshore Lifeboat with a three-strong crew was mobilised to help bring the man to safety.
