Bridlington guest house murder: Search continues for wanted man John Heald

Police continue to hunt for wanted man John Heald after the body of a Bridlington guest house landlady was found on Friday.

Humberside Police is working closely with South Yorkshire Police after Mr Heald, 53, was spotted in Rotherham and Mexborough. Reports suggest he may have also been seen in Balby, Doncaster.

Landlady Bei Carter, 49, was found dead at The Morayland Hotel, Marshall Avenue, on Friday 18 July.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Baldwin, senior investigating officer, said: “Our investigation into the murder of Bei Carter is continuing and we are working very closely with South Yorkshire Police.

“I would appeal directly to John Heald to hand himself in at the earliest opportunity so that we can talk to him and find out what has happened.”

Mr Heald is also wanted by police on suspicion of a serious offence in Sheffield on Sunday 13 July.
