A Bridlington woman has given up her job and is appealing for donations so she can help some of the planet’s most needy people.
Erica Hill has moved back to Bridlington where she grew up after taking redundancy from her job in Hull so she can volunteer with the International Citizen Service in Uganda.
She said: “I will be volunteering with Challenges Worldwide and my placement in Africa and this will see me working with three other team leaders in supporting a group of young people from the UK and from Africa in supporting small enterprises to develop and grow.
“I have held various fundraisers and I recently raised £200 by doing a sponsored spin. I have to raise a total of £800 by September 14 for the charities and it is important to note that the money raised is not to fund me, my flight, accommodation or food.”
Erica is also asking Bridlington residents to donate tombola and raffle prizes for an event she is planning to take place on 22 September.
Not only that Erica is also offering Bridlington residents her services to carry out off jobs around the house and garden.
