Brid plan hearing

THE next step in the approval process for Bridlington’s regeneration plans will take place in September.

Following the exploratory meeting held in June, the inspector recommended that the Bridlington Town Centre Area Action Plan (AAP) progresses to the pre-hearing meeting and hearings stage.

The pre-hearing meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 27, followed by hearings starting on Monday, December 5 which are scheduled to run all week.

After the pre-hearing meeting there will be a period of about six weeks in which East Riding of Yorkshire Council and other participants will be invited to prepare their written statements responding to the matters and issues identified.

These will be made available to view online.

At the exploratory meeting at Bridlington Town Hall in June, the council agreed to produce two papers for further clarification, a note on ‘Harbour Development Phasing’ and a ‘Summary of Appraisals for Burlington Parade’, which have now been submitted to the inspector and will be available to view on the AAP examination website at
