AN ELVIS Presley fan got to fulfil a dream on her seventieth birthday with a ride on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Maureen Loft, of Bridlington, celebrated her birthday last Friday, and was greeted by a surprise ride on the motorbike arranged by her family.
Maureen, known as Mo, was taken for her first spin on a Harley to near Grindale, before returning to her home where she was greeted by relatives, who had bedecked her garden with balloons and paper roses.
Mo, who has two daughters and is both a grandmother and a great grandmother, said: “I only love Harley Davidsons because Elvis had them.
“It was brilliant, the wind blowing in your face, it was awesome.
“I love the noise, I can always tell if there’s one coming.
“I thought if Elvis did it, I would do it, and when I was sat on the back of the bike I was thinking it was Elvis in front.”
Daughter, Debbie Tindall, 49, of Bridlington organised the surprise along with sister Vicky Tindall, friend Julie Bolton and Jenny Tindall who helped her arrange the motorbike.
Debbie said: “She has been on about it for quite a while and she has sat on one before but not gone out on a ride.”
