TWO more big star names have announced they will be performing at Bridlington Spa.

TV star and all-round entertainer, John Barrowman, will be the first to appear, on Tuesday, October 25.

He will be followed by stand-up comic and TV regular, Sarah Millican, who will be performing at The Spa on April 6, 2012.

John is one of the most recognisable faces on television and in the West End, and is known to fans everywhere as Captain Jack Harkness from the sci-fi series’ Torchwood and Doctor Who.

He was also a judge on the BBC entertainment shows How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, Any Dream Will Do and I’d Do Anything.

John will be releasing his greatest hits music collection in September and his performance will include hits from all his albums.

He said: “Touring round the country doing live performances for all my fans has to be one of my favourite times of the year.

“I love the thrill of a live performance, the excitement of singing some new and fantastic music. I can’t wait to see you.”

Affable Geordie comedian and new Loose Women star Sarah Millican sold out all 120 dates on her debut tour last year and is now back on the road with her new stand-up show, Sarah Millican: Thoroughly Modern Millican.

The show takes a humorous look at a wide range of issues from how to make a home-made treadmill to what to do when you don’t like parties but like party food.

Coun Jane Evison, cabinet portfolio holder for cultural services, housing and public protection at East Riding of Yorkshire Council said: “I am delighted with the announcement that these acts will be appearing at the Spa as they appeal to a wide audience, and I hope all Sarah Millican and John Barrowman fans manage to get their hands on some tickets.

“It’s a really exciting time at the Spa. Make sure you pick up a copy of the spring and summer What’s On Guide when it is released this Monday.”

Tickets for both shows are due to go on general sale tomorrow (Friday March 18) from 9.30am.

Tickets for John Barrowman are priced from £25.50 to £43.50, while tickets for Sarah Millican are priced at £20.

They join other top stars appearing at the venue this year, including Jools Holland, Daniel O’Donnell, Alexandra Burke and Jason Manford.
