The story of a pair of gannets at Bempton Cliffs is told in Yorkshire – A Year in the Wild, a new four-part series, which begins tonight on Channel Five.

Maria Prchlik, communications officer at the RSPB nature reserve, said: “Tigress Productions, the company behind the series, visited the reserve at different times of year to follow the ups and downs of a pair of our gannets as they got together to raise a family.

“Theirs is only part of the remarkable story of wildlife in the region – but it’s an important one.”
