COMMUNITY groups in Bridlington have the chance to get their hands on £500 to boost healthy projects thanks to Warburtons.
The company is offering local groups who plan on running healthy lifestyle schemes to apply for a share of its Activate! fund.
Grants of up to £500 will be given to a wide range of organisations across the town who are currently trying to raise funds for new equipment, sports kits and other facilities.
The Activate! fund is aimed at promoting healthy, active lifestyles in Yorkshire as part of Warburtons’ long-standing commitment to supporting the region and helping to improve family life.
The fund is open to all groups whether a rowing club, an after-school skipping club, a ramblers group or a swimming club.
Tom Sugden, from Warburtons Yorkshire, said: “We are committed to supporting local groups which aim to encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
“We are aware that there are already many groups and associations in the Yorkshire area doing a great job which may need a helping hand in funding their activities.
“So, whether you are a toddler or pensioner group, a hockey team or dance troupe, we would urge you to get in touch and tell us how Warburtons can help you.”
Group and club leaders can apply for grants of up to £500 via email to Emma Franklin, email@example.com or by post to Warburtons Activate! fund, C/O Green Communications, 19 King Street, Wakefield, WF1 2SQ.
Applications must specify the equipment required, the benefits of the donation and the cash amount needed in less than 300 words by April 1 2011.
