It is 25 years since one of Bridlington’s best loved dance school’s began to get the town’s feet tapping.
The Collette Tyler School of Dance continues to collect prizes in a whole range of dance competitions and is now preparing for a special 25th anniversary show at The Spa theatre on Friday and Saturday, June 21 and 22.
“Children, pupils and parents have been fundraising for the spectacular costumes in the show which really does have something for everyone,” said Collette. It will iclude highlights from Les Miserables, Me and My Girl, Annie and other routines range from classical ballet through to up to the minute street dance routines.
The shows start at 7pm and tickets are £9.50 for adults and £6.50 for children.
The latest addition to the school’s competition successes was at their group competition held at Middleton in Manchester. The dancers made it into seven finals out of the eight dances they entered, getting third and fourth in the junior ballet, third in the senior ballet and both teams came first in the junior and senior song and dance.
The junior tap team came third as did the seniors but the seniors finished the day in style by coming first in the modern.
