A spooky, spacious and socially distanced trail allows people to hunt around peaceful yet atmospheric woodland finding a fun series of handcrafted scenes.

A spokesman said: “Each dramatic scene asks a single question and bears a freaky fact. Watch skeletons playing croquet, spot a pirates’ coffin floating on the pond, duck under a witches’ washing line and creep around spooky scenes aplenty.

“There’s a hunt for Seven Spooky Sacks in the woodland garden, a witches’ hut as a fun backdrop for family photos and each child will enjoy a bumper trail sheet with activities to complete.

“There’s no extra charge for the trail: admission is included in the normal gardens price (free for Burton Agnes Hall members).”
