One hundred years ago, on the May 23, 1911, Sledmere House was devastated by fire.
From Good Friday, there will be an Exhibition at the popular stately home, showing how the House was rebuilt and refurbished.
On display will be information about the owners of the House at the time, namely Sir Tatton Sykes and his son Sir Mark Sykes, as well as about the architect of the rebuilding Walter Brierley.
Other information will include lists of the contractors involved, photographs relating to the fire, excerpts from newspapers of the time as well as an opportunity to see the plans of the new house.
