Silver award delight for East Riding of Yorkshire CCG nurses team

East Riding of Yorkshire CCG’s Quality Team nurses have been presented with the prestigious Silver Chief Nursing Officer award.

The award was in recognition of the work the nurses undertook to ensure the most vulnerable residents in care homes were safely looked after following the Covid-19 outbreak.

Nicki Sparling, assistant director of quality and improvement/deputy lead nurse said: “We nominated our Quality Team nurses in recognition of their hard work in ensuring our care homes were fully equipped to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. The team have gone above and beyond in their roles and we are extremely proud of them.”

Dr Anne Jeffreys, Local GP and East Riding of Yorkshire CCG chairperson said: “The CCG is extremely pleased the Quality Team nurses have been recognised with this respected award.

“This is testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of our nurses to ensure our most vulnerable residents are cared for safely.”
