In emotional scenes, staff joined in with loud rounds of applause, sirens and flashing blue lights on their ambulances.

The video was posted on social media with the tribute 'Stand down, your shift is finished, return to base. RIP'.

The Scarborough staff member's family have asked that their name remain private at this difficult time.
