Locations of 17 new Covid-19 deaths in Yorkshire hospitals

Two people died in Leeds and two people died in Bradford.

One person died in Barnsley.

Five people died in Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust hospitals - which covers Pinderfields (Wakefield), Dewsbury and District and Pontefract hospital.

One person died in Sheffield hospitals and one person died in Rotherham hospitals.

Four people died in York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust hospitals.

One person died under the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

These figures reflects deaths from the latest reporting period which is 5pm on Saturday, May 30,

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:
