A monster idea to get families out and about while supporting shops
A family fun Safari story-trail around Bridlington is helping to spread joy, support the NHS and give families a safe reason to return to the local high street.
Yorkshire Coast Bid is inviting families across the Yorkshire Coast to search the streets for 10 cute and colourful MonsterHeroes from Monday, July 13.
Using only smartphones, the Safari allows you to learn each of the MonsterHero’s name, story, and superpowers. Once all 10 MonsterHeroes are found, a free ebook, that tells the story of their first team-up, will be unlocked.
The safari works by utilising contactless NFC technology and QR codes, without the need for players to download or sign up to anything.
Kerry Carruthers, chief executive at Yorkshire Coast BID said: “The Yorkshire Coast BID is really proud and excited to be supporting this brilliant and unique project in the local communities, especially one with such a fantastic goal of raising £100,000 for NHS charities.
“It is important during these exceptional times that we support our local businesses get back on track and not only to help rebuild our high street, but also to provide something safe and fun for families to get involved in.”
Over 100 BIDs and councils are taking part in the MonsterHero Safari project, which has been sponsored by Wild in Art, with the aim of raising over £100k for NHS Charities Together.
