McDonald's in Scarborough's Huntriss Row is back - these are the new opening times
McDonald's has opened the doors on its outlet in Huntriss Row, Scarborough.
It is opened for takeaways only from 11am today, Wednesday June 24.
Customers are being asked to respect social distancing guidelines and there are clear floor markings in the restaurant to signpost the route for customers.
There is signage across the restaurant to help guide customers through their visit and the team will be there to help.
There is hand sanitiser available and customers must wash heir hands at the cleaning station.
The company statement said: "We will ask that customers do not enter if feeling unwell. We will also ask customers to visit on their own if possible, but if customers need to bring children, they will be welcome."
Seating areas and toilets will remain closed.
My McDonald’s app is available for customers to view the limited menu and place orders for collection in the restaurant for takeaway.
Fewer self-order kiosks are switched on, to help with social distancing, which are regularly cleaned.
Social distancing and Perspex screens have been introduced in the kitchens and service areas to help create a safe working environment for the restaurant team.
Additional protective equipment for our employees, including face coverings in all areas and disposable gloves at customer service points.
Ongoing fit and able to work checks will take place regularly, Contactless thermometers will also be used to check employee temperatures on arrival at work for every shift.
Members of the restaurant team will help manage the flow of customers inside and outside of the restaurant.
McDonald's, Bessingby Industrial Estate, Bridlington, also opened today with the same rules and opening times in place.
The statement said:
"We also want to reassure you that we continue to take the issue of litter very seriously. Our restaurant teams have collected litter for many years, and we will continue to do so when we reopen our business. Our restaurant teams will carry out at least three daily litter picks in the areas around our restaurant, collecting all litter, not just McDonald’s packaging.
"The Restaurant will operate with a smaller team, offering a limited menu and reduced hours for takeaway, from 11am to 10pm.
The menu and reduced hours are the same as is operating with at our Eastfield Drive Thru.
