There is still time to sign up for a new on-line script reading course at Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre.

The classes will run for five weeks from Wednesday 10 June, from 11.30am to 1.30pm.

These fun and friendly sessions will explore the work of playwrights from the restoration period.

Participants will read aloud texts from the period, and work with the the theatre's associate director Chelsey Gillard to look at their themes, stories, writing styles and the historical context.

Digital copies of plays including The Man of Mode by George Etheredge and The Rover by Aphra Behn will be provided and participants will be given a link to join each weekly session.
