REVEAL Open Studios are encouraging local art lovers to discover the work of five of Bridlington best artists in East Yorkshire’s largest visual arts event.

Now in its 7th year, Reveal Open Studios gives the public the chance to visit artists in their own studios, and see their work.

The five Bridlington Artists will showcase their work over this weekend, October 1 and 2, from 10am-5pm each day.

They are;

Rosemary Abrahams, who will exhibit her work which is “intrigued by the differences in surface texture and how paint can be affected by it”, at Studio Gallery, 15 Trafalgar Crescent. Nigel Folds, whose work captures” midwinter trees blooming with frost”, exhibits at Prospect Studio, above Griffins Jewellers on Prospect Street, can be contacted on 07766 762592.

Ken Shaw will show work influenced by his “past in construction, and a search for variety within chosen geometric restraints”, at Prospect Studio above Griffins Jewellers on Propect Street, and he can be contacted by email on ken.shaw48@hotmail.com or on 07818 806815.

Anna Kirk-Smith, of 6 Mayfield Road, is the fifth Bridlington artist showing her work which features “randomly moving subjects, aberrant weather conditions, inter-specific interactions, metamorphoses and idiosyncratic occurrences”, and can be contacted on 01262 674938, by email at anna.kirk-smith@network.rca.ac.uk or on her website www.annakirk-smith.com.
