The owners of an East Yorkshire wedding and party marquee business have bought a Strictly Come Dancing inspired chandelier for its Open Day and Wedding Fair on 2 March.
Village Farm Marquees was launched by Tony and Chrysta Newman in 2010 when they followed their dreams and relocated from London to the picturesque East coast village of Skipsea.
‘Creating the perfect marquee wedding’ is the theme for the first Marquee Open Day and Wedding Fair to be held in Skipsea Village Hall since it was built in 2010 and takes place at the Bridlington Road venue between 11am and 3pm on Sunday, 2nd March.
Commenting on the Open Day, Tony Newman said: “People often associate marquees with outside venues, but they are actually a very versatile way to transform an indoor space too.
“For the event, we will line out the Windsor Suite in the Village Hall and will also build themed marquees outside with styles from vintage to contemporary; including The Great Gatsby (featuring the chandelier that will be available to hire after the event), Vintage Chic and Regency Purple, to give people ideas about how well different themes work.”
There will also be representatives from venues to caterers; venue stylists to photography and classic cars to (public) conveniences at the free admission event.
Tony Newman has over 20 years’ experience of the marquee business and supplies high quality marquees for all occasions from intimate garden parties to lavish weddings and trade exhibitions to both private and corporate clients.
