REHEARSALS are in full swing for Headlands School’s annual production, Our House the musical.
Around 75 students are involved in the performance, which shows the conflicting fortunes of teenager Joe Casey after he breaks into a building - two stories running side-by-side show what happens to Joe’s life if he decides to run away from the scene, or if he stays to face his punishment.
The entire show is interspersed with Madness songs performed by students and staff.
Kelly Jessup, Director of Performing Arts, said that the “powerful” story was something that students can relate to.
“It is quite different from the shows we have done in the past, it is a very modern story. All of the students are working very hard, in fact they are exhausted, but they are all really looking forward to it.”
The first performance will be at Headlands School on Wednesday February 1, at 7.30pm followed by further performances at the school on Thursday 2 and Friday February 3, at the same time.
Tickets are £4 for concessions and £6 for adults and are available from the school on 676198.
Our House then moves to the Spa on Saturday February 4, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 for concessions and £10 for adults, and are available from the box office on 678258.
The show comes with a parental guidance label.
