MAVERICK local band International Rescue return to the Spa this weekend a year on from their 25th anniversary comeback gig, which took place at the venue last February.
Dave Waller, Steve Skinner, Chaz Cook and Joel Cash form the band, who will play Bridlington Spa on Friday, February 24.
This year the group will be supported by two other local bands – The Sonnet and The Sweeney.
Around 450 people turned up for last year’s comeback show, and the band are hoping to top that this year with visitors already lined up from as far afield as Portugal, Spain and Northern Ireland.
Their new EP ‘Sonic Lightning’, which features new tracks ‘Armadillo (under my skin)’ and ‘All I Want’, as well as a re-recording of a song written in 1982, ‘The Shining’, will be available to download on iTunes and Amazon, and to stream on Spotify, Napster, Deezer, CD BAby, eMusic and Zune from February 29.
Tickets for the show, which comes to the Bridlington Spa Theatre on Friday February 24 at 7.30pm, are £7.50 and are available from the Spa box office on 01262 678258 or from www.TheSpaBridlington.com. For more info on the band, visit their website www.theinternationalrescuegroup.co.uk.
