Could you help to chart the history of Bridlington as a seaside resort?

A new Lottery-funded project is holding a workshop to train volunteers on how to record interviews with people who can explain about Bridlington’s recent past for future generations.

The Bridlington Quay Townscape Heritage project is looking to create and archive of stories and memories and a free session will be held on Friday, March 31, between 10am and 4.30pm.

An East Riding of Yorkshire Council spokesman said: “Previous experience or knowledge is not required, all that is needed is to be a good listener. The session will provide all the training needed to get started, including an introduction to interviewing and gaining experience in audio recording.”

Places are free, but numbers are limited and priority will be given to those living in Bridlington. To book a place, email Tania Weston, townscape heritage officer, at tania.weston@eastriding.gov.uk or call 01482 391712.
