BEMPTON Victorian Christmas Market is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Since it was launched in 2001 it has become a popular pre-Christmas treat for visitors and locals alike.
Its mix of festive entertainment, from carol singers, pipe band, the Bempton School choir and of course a visit by Santa – this year on his very own sleigh – is a winner with the crowds.
It is being held on Sunday, November 20, between 11am and 4pm on land off Cliff Lane.
Once more there is a whole range of market stalls and Victorian fancy dress is the order of the day for those taking part.
The chair of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Kay West, will perform the official opening.
Richard Burton, chairman of the organising committee, said: “The Victorian market is an opportunity for village organisations to raise funds and entertain.
“The event itself just about covers its own costs, everything else goes to the village.
“It is just a great family day out.”
There are still some vacancies for Market Stalls and if anyone would like one for the day please contact Paul Nicholson on 01262 851496 or Richard Burton on 01262 850296.
