THE first guided local history tour organised to discover the heritage of the wider area around the Gypsey Race takes place today.
People are invited to join the Winifred Holtby At Rudston tour led by Dr John Markham.

It starts at 7.15pm at Rudston House and there will be a tour of the garden followed by a visit to the church.

Next Thursday there is a geological tour entit
led Walking With Mammoths at Sewerby.

The cost is £3 and, to book a place, call the council's archives and local studies service on 01482 392790.
