A FULL house is expected at Bridlington Rugby Club tomorrow night for the second Bridlington Free Press Sports Awards.
The stars of 2012 will be announced in 14 categories, with a few surprises thrown in for guests on the night.
The main Sports Person of The Year award will be going to athlete Phill Taylor, darts player Steve Rice or Phil Gilson for his motorsport exploits.
Special guest at the event is Radio Humberside presenter David Burns, who is the voice of Hull City, and will be telling tales of his career behind the microphone.
Free Press sports editor John Edwards said: “Last year’s event was wonderful. We managed to tell so many people about the great sporting achievements of people from Bridlington.
“This year will be the same, but as well as highlighting the winners from the past 12 months, it is also a good chance to get the local sporting community together.”
A very limited number of tickets, priced £5, are now available. Visit the Free Press office for details.
See this week’s Free Press for the shortlists in each category.
