Bridlington Road Runners

The second race in the Bridlington Road Runners Summer Handicap League was the annual Three Hills 10kms and was this year run in memory of Barry Clifton.

This tough course goes along Easton road and takes in the hillls before and out of Boynton and then the hill up to Woldgate crossroads, with an easier finish through Carnaby to the traffic lights at the top of Bessingby Road.

Phill Taylor showed his excellent recent form to completely dominate the race, but the adjusted handicap times were much closer, with Kevin Lewis the winner.

City of Hull Champagne League June 9 Kiplingcotes 6 mile Handicap: 20 Stuart Spooner 38:44, 46. David Foster 49:20, 48 Steve Arnold 51:50.

East Hull Summer League June 16. New Ellerby 10 km: 2. Phill Taylor 34:17 3. Nick Hellewell 34:44 35. Judy Allison 46:35 (2nd lady) 43. Bob Eyre 48:15

Burton Pidsea 10km 21st June: 2nd Phill Taylor 34:55.

The final race in the club Summer Handicap League is the East Hull Harriers Leven 10kms. Meet at the Leven Sports Centre for a 7.15 start.
