BRIDLINGTON find themselves at the top of Yorkshire One going into this weekend’s East Coast derby match against Scarborough.
They followed up their opening day win over Pontefract with an away victory at Huddersfield YMCA on Saturday.
Another bonus point meant Bridlington are one point clear at the top of the table, while their rivals from up the coast have lost their first two matches.
A fiery encounter is expected at Dukes Park if last season is anything to go by, but director of rugby Kieran Lawry is confident his team can maintain their promising start.
He said: “Despite their shaky start having lost both games, Scarborough will be heading to Dukes Park determined to give a good account of themselves.
“I firmly believe however if we play to anywhere near our potential then we can make it three wins out of three and stay at the top of the table.”
