For the third race of the popular East Hull Harriers Summer League, Bridlington sent 23 runners to one of the shortest races of the series.
It was Phill Taylor’s first race since the Manchester Marathon, and he finished in second place with an excellent time of 21:02.
Danny Brunton, running his second race in three days, came sixth in a time of 22:45, and also having a great run with fully recovered legs from the London Marathon was Martin Smith, who posted 23:46 to finish 12th.
Sarah Wood’s fitness from London also showed, as she was the first Bridlington woman back, finishing in 45th place with a time of 26:36.
Also in her first race since Manchester, and only two seconds behind, was Emma Brown in 46th place ,with a time of 26:38 and was also first in her age group. Cathy Wood was next, also winning a prize by being first in the handicap, finishing 50th with a time of 27;14.

In the fun run before the four-mile race Shaun Foster took fifth place with a time of 9:36, Louise Foster was 41st in 11:40, followed by Emellia Petty in 69th in 14:00 and Jack Ellis-Pallant 89th in a time of 16:49.
