It was another warm evening at Walkington for the 10K race organised by Beverley AC. Running in his second race in four days, Bridlington’s Phill Taylor had to content himself with second place behind Steve Bateson of East Hull Harriers.
Taylor finished in a time of 34:25 and the next Bridlington runner home was Martin Smith in 15th place with 39:17.
Becky Clifton was the first Bridlington woman to finish in 134th position in a time of 47:31. The next lady home was Karen Colley in 157th place with 48:42.
Other runners sweating in the warm sunny evening conditions were:- Andy Baker (37th) 41:35, Kevin Sissons (78th) 45:06, Steve Frankish (110th) 45:51, Stuart Atkinson (240th) 52:47, Julie Madden (306th) 54:01, Zoe Ellis (352nd) 56:13, Zena Boreman (375th) 57:11, Mark Loft (376th), Ben Smith (410th) 58:56 and Amanda Tindall (535th) 69:23
Ashley and Kirsten Porter, together with Shaun Foster, ran in the 1.75 mile Fun Run. Ashley Porter was 13th in 11:22, Foster was 17th in 11:38 and Kirsten Porter was 45th in 14:44.
After two arduous races in less than a week, only eight Bridlington runners took on the Sewerby Parkrun on Saturday morning.
Simon Porter was the first Bridlington runner to complete the course in sixth place with 21:17 and not far behind was Kevin Sissons who was 10th in 22:05. Young Ashley Porter put in another good run with a time of 22:49 in 12th. Ray Robinson is running well at the moment and, on this occasion, was 17th in 24:23

Over in Hull, Mark Woodley finished the Parkrun in 20th place with a time of 20:26
