The weather from the previous week’s Brass Monkey Half Marathon was again present for last Sunday’s Ferriby 10 Mile, but Mother Nature added to the rain, a mix of wind and hail, making conditions extra difficult.
Despite this, Bridlington Road Runners still had a great turnout again. The course was undulating, run on country lanes around Skidby.
The first three male Bridlington runners home were led over the line by Martin Smith who posted a time of 01:06:48, finishing in 58th.
After a sprint finish, new member Nick Jordan finished in 86th with 01:08:26 with John Potter three seconds behind in 87th.
The women put in some great performances and a personal best by Cathy Wood saw her finish 133rd overall, and 10th lady back, in 01:11:28.
Just under a minute behind was Emma Brown, finishing in 148th and 14th lady with a time of 01:12:17, with Becky Clifton crossing in 226th and 28th lady with 01:16:29.
