The fourth race in the East Hull Harriers Summer Leagues was held in the small village of Leven, and featured a fast flat route ran around the country lanes and back to the village which made it ideal for a personal best time.

As in previous meetings, Bridlington Road Runners had a large field, although missing fastest member Phill Taylor, who was resting his legs from the previous weekend’s track and Mucky Duck wins.

However, the club fortunately had a good replacement in Valentin Chartier who again had a great run finishing in third place. Danny Brunton had a run out and also had a strong run in 11th place with Tony Smith and Martin Smith battling it out for 25th spot with Tony winning out.

Cathy Wood was third lady with Emma Artley next lady back,

The next race in the series is a slightly longer seven-mile route around Sproatley.
