The views of Bridlington’s director of rugby Rich Girking after the 10-6 win at Dinnington
“UNFORTUNATELY, I wasn’t able to get to Dinnington but I’ve been told it was a very hard game.
“We managed to scrape the win, which is the main thing, playing away from home at a place which is always difficult to go to.
“They are always a very aggressive side, and they hadn’t had a good start to the season so had signed a couple of players from Rotherham.
“But we won without playing particularly well. Apparently, we wasted a couple of chances to get tries.
“Once again though we did not concede a try. We haven’t conceded a try on our travels and we’ve only conceded four in five games so far
“We actually scored a pushover try, and I can’ remember one for a while. Apparently there was one about four years ago but the last one I recall was 15 years ago.
“The forwards are playing particularly well at the minute and are setting a good example but we have got to put some chances away.
“Five wins out of five is great but we have had three at home which helps.
“We are doing better than last year but October’s tough run of games will give us a good idea of where we are at.”
