Garry Davies, from the Home From Home cafe arranged for the tournament to be played on the tables at Bayside Leisure.

After 20 games, the men’s and women’s champions were revealed before the plyers enjoyed a buffet.

Town councillor Thelma Milns and Mr Davies presented trophies to the winners Adele Sperry and Paul Hewitson.

Team manager John Ropero said: “All the players have learning difficulties but they always amaze us with the high standard of playing.

“It was a very good day for all who took part and I hope this could become an annual event.

“We are getting more young adults wanting to come to our club on a Thursday evening at Swan House Day Centre in Bridlington.”
