Saturday’s Sewerby Parkrun was completed by 120 people, 40 of whom obtained personal best times, and this number included 24 Bridlington Road Runners.

Nick Jordan broke the 19-minute mark, in a new personal best time of 18:51 and was the third runner to complete the course.

Other runners obtaining personal best times included Lewis Dale and Lynda Gent.

The Huddersfield Parkrun 5K was completed by Patricia Bielby in a time of 23:38, while Janet and John Potter took part in the Skipton Parkrun 5K, with John finishing in sixth place overall in 19:49 and Janet 27th but she was the first lady in a new personal best time of 22:49.

Josh Taylor took advantage of the fast flat course at the Hull Parkrun 5K to finish in 12th place and also got a personal best time of 19:28.

On Sunday, Andy Baker took part in the FlaminGO! 10K at Flamingo Land. The course was multi-terrain, with participants being encouraged to dress up as their favourite animal.

There were paths and tracks around the zoo and some rather muddy fields, to make this a challenging course, but Baker finished in 39.02.

Two members of Bridlington Road Runners took part in the Spen 20 Mile near Lincoln, as part of their marathon preparations.

Sarah Wood and Peter Gulc were pleased with their times and places, with Gulc finishing in 15th in 2:10 and Wood finished in 2:36.
