Four members of Bridlington Cycling Club kick started their 2014 season on Saturday in the City Road Club 25-mile hard riders three-up time trial.
The course started just north of Beverley heading out to Driffield, Kellythorpe, Bainton and back across to finish just outside of Beverley. There was a stiff south westerly breeze which made two-thirds of the course rather rough.
Father-and-sons team, Stewart, Sam and Seb Pickard rode as a team to record 62.51 for the event. Greystone Small joined forces with Yorkshire Coast Clarion’s Chris Goode and Tony Graves, finishing in 69 minutes.
Thanks to Dawn and Neal Blues for their support and encouragement also to Mark Woodley and Brian Parling.
Upcoming local events include the Malton 10 TT next Saturday and the Hull Thursday 25-mile hard riders two-up time trial which a number of riders from Bridlington CC have entered.
