From the start of their first game, Northallerton were attacking strongly and they caught Brid unawares before they had got into their stride. Bryan Usher in goal made some brave attempts, but Brid were 2-0 down after a few minutes.

Brid then worked hard to change this deficit, with some good attacking runs by Olivia Kelly, Jack Green and Emily Asquith. Declan Potts and Lizzie Temple worked well in defence and Molly Green, Ben Hindson and Harry Cowell helped in midfield, to get the ball through to the attackers.

This paid off when Olivia Kelly hit a great strike from a free hit and scored, to make the score 2-1 with a few minutes remaining. Unfortunately, Northallerton scored again to make the final score 3-1.

The whole team worked well together against York B, with some great dribbling and passing from Usher, Asquith, Green, Hindson, Kelly and Cowell.

Declan Potts and Lizzie Temple made some fantastic tackles and totally kept York out of the game, with keeper Molly Green having very little to do.

The game against hosts Halifax was exciting with some end-to-end hockey being played. Potts and Temple did a great job at the back and helped to push the ball up the pitch to the midfield of Usher, Cowell and Asquith.

They in turn linked with the forwards Jack Green, Kelly and Hindson, which resulted in goal shots by all of them. Unfortunately these were all saved by the experienced Halifax keeper.

The whole team worked together and put in some great tackles, to keep Halifax from scoring. If they had five more minutes, Brid would have been on the scoresheet because they never gave up.

In the fourth and final match, Driffield B were very strong opposition and they were attacking the Brid goal from the start. Although Temple tried hard in goal, helped by Potts and Asquith in defence, Driffield broke through and scored early on.

Brid fought back and worked really well together to move up the ball into the Driffield goal area, with an attempted shot by Usher, linking with Green.

Quickly, Driffield were on the attack again and Temple had no chance to save the second goal. The Brid team carried on trying to create scoring chances right until the end of the game, but the final score was 2-0 to Driffield.
