After losing their opening game of the season 28-17, Bridlington made the journey to Goole play the return match just two days later with revenge in mind.
The game started very evenly with Bridlington scoring the first two goals and Goole catching up to finish the first quarter with a lead of three.
The Bridlington team played well and kept within a few goals of the home team through to the end of the first half. The strong defence players, Darcy Waines and Marie Lyons, were joined by Becki Almond in her first venture as goalkeeper.
Naomi Turton, playing her familiar role at centre on her return from York University, slotted straight back as if she had never been away. Becca Webster and Sarah Porritt took turns at assisting Gaynor Wallace at the goal attacking end and all three players showed their usual effective shooting skills.
Going into the final quarter, Bridlington had played well to be in an even position at 17 goals each. As they returned to the court, the shooters managed to score some spectacular goals which rattled the Goole team.
Bridlington managed to hold the lead and had their first win of the season.
