When the ball came flying out the side of the scrum, Stevie Mellonby was quickest to react, diving over the line for the first try with only two minutes on the clock.

After a spell on the back foot, the hosts broke again through Auryn Murray. Jamie Muru then found Thompson with a short pass, then the ball was passed through the backs hands for Oliver Stephenson to score the second try, again out wide by the corner flag.

Muru, Zondo and Martin Robinson linked up to supply Burrows, who ran in another try and Bridlington were 17-0 up after just 12 minutes.

Bridlington came strong again towards the end of the half, and were rewarded when Mellonby was able to find Adam Dixon with a short pass, and he dived through for another try.

Burrows then added his second and Bridlington were 29 points clear going into the break.

They continued the second half as they finished the first, pounding the defence and stringing many phases of play together as the marched up the park.

Throwing a dummy pass, Robinson drove at the line, taking two tacklers with him as he dived over for a try, converted by Muru.

Brodleians enjoyed some good possession for while as they attacked through the forwards, but Bridlington scrambled back to defend. And it wasn’t long before Bridlington struck again. Long passes by Muru then Kemp, allowed Zondo to run in for his first try of the season.

The visitors got the upper hand for while in the game and despite great tackling by the home side, they edged their way forward, culminating a try as they fired the ball along the back line, for Danny Shepherd to score a try out by the flag.

Bridlington continued to dominate play for the rest of the game with Zolani Faba and Tom Kemp each scoring tries, Muru able to convert the second of these.
